What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Director position at Adult Daycare?
The Director of an Adult Day Program is responsible for the overall management and operation of a program that provides support and services to adults who may require assistance with activities of daily living, socialization, and recreational activities. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to program participants and their families, as well as the supervision and development of staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the adult day program
Oversee the hiring, training, and development of staff, including coordinating staff schedules and evaluating performance
Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and service providers to enhance the program and support participant needs
Develop and implement a budget for the program, including monitoring expenses and preparing reports for funding organizations
Maintain accurate records and documentation, including participant records, incident reports, and evaluations
Collaborate with participants, families, and caregivers to develop individualized care plans and support participants in meeting their goals
Organize and lead recreational and social activities for participants, including coordinating transportation and field trips
Ensure the safety and well-being of all program participants, and respond to emergencies and incidents as needed
Stay up-to-date on best practices and developments in the field of adult day programs, and continuously seek ways to improve the program and the services it provides.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in social work, gerontology, or a related field
5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a social service or healthcare setting
Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop staff
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with participants, families, and community partners
Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including those related to healthcare and social services
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
