Job Summary: FCDC Senior Architect 1
- Serve as Senior .NET Application Architect and Lead Developer for the Franklin County Auditor’s Office.
- Provide technical leadership for application migration and modernization following a recent tax accounting system implementation.
- Assess existing MVC-based applications and identify areas for migration or modernization.
- Define and recommend application architecture patterns and technical standards.
- Lead hands-on development of .NET applications and REST APIs.
- Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server stored procedures, indexes, and queries.
- Ensure best practices with Entity Framework and data access patterns.
- Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical designs.
- Work closely with IT Project Manager to define project scope, milestones, and deliverables.
- Mentor and support developers through code reviews and troubleshooting.
- Support development workflows using GitHub Enterprise.
- Communicate progress, risks, and technical recommendations to IT Director and leadership.
- Contribute to project planning by providing development estimates.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
- 8 years of professional .NET development experience.
- Deep expertise in C#, .NET, and Entity Framework.
- Strong experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Advanced SQL Server skills (stored procedures, indexing).
- Experience with GitHub Enterprise.
- Demonstrated leadership/mentoring of development teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with legacy MVC application migration/modernization (highly desired).
- Familiarity with React, Vite, and NodeJS (highly desired).
- Experience stabilizing/improving production environments (highly desired).
- Experience in public sector or high-visibility environments (highly desired).
- Experience with financial, tax, or property-related systems (highly desired).
- Location: Columbus, OH (onsite, locals only).
- Contract: 1 year, W2 only (no C2C).
- Eligible Visas: USC, GC, EAD.
Salary : $55 - $65
