What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Operations position at Adrenaline?
Adrenaline is an experience design company specializing in branded environments for financial institutions and retail clients. We combine strategy, design, technology, and construction into integrated programs that transform how brands connect with their customers. We are investing in our growth engine, scaling our delivery capabilities, and building the operational infrastructure to support both. We are seeking a collaborative, enterprise-minded Head of Operations to architect and scale the systems, processes, and operating rhythm that enable our teams to deliver exceptional work, and our business to grow efficiently and profitably. The Head of Operations will report to the President & CEO, and will be located in our Portsmouth NH Office.
Accountabilities:
- Design and implement scalable operational processes across the business, with a focus on Environmental Project Management and Design Operations
- Establish a clear operating cadence (planning, prioritization, decision-making, and accountability) that aligns teams and drives execution
- Deliver real time visibility into resource allocation, utilization, initiative progress, and margin performance to support data driven decisions
- Own execution of top strategic initiatives, ensuring cross-functional alignment, accountability, and measurable outcomes
- Act as strategic integrator across functional leaders, removing friction and accelerating progress
- Build and evolve a scalable program governance model aligned to a growing portfolio
Responsibilities:
- Develop and scale systems to manage and optimize subscription-based revenue streams
- Structure and operationalize strategic partnerships, including governance, performance tracking, and accountability frameworks
- Partner with Finance to define utilization benchmarks and drive improvements in delivery efficiency and operating margin
- Introduce structure and systems thinking to rapidly scaling areas of the business
- Build credibility and influence through execution, clarity, and measurable impact
- Lead, develop, and empower the Operations Team
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of progressive operational leadership, with meaningful experience in a Professional Services, PMO, creative, or design-led organization; or a company with complex, project-based delivery models
- Demonstrated ability to build operational infrastructure in environments that lacked it; you've started from chaos before and know how to sequence the work
- Experience managing cross-functional initiatives with accountability to outcomes, not just process
- Familiarity with resource management, utilization tracking, and margin analysis in a professional services business
- Experience working in or alongside PMs, creative, design, or technical delivery organizations is strongly preferred
- Exposure to partnership operations, subscription models, or multi-product service businesses is a plus
