Risk Adjustment Medical Coder (Remote Position)
Position Overview
Adobe Care and Wellness is hiring Risk Adjustment Medical Coders who can identify members’ health and chronic conditions so their health plan can plan the appropriate payment to cover care.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assign appropriate ICD-10 and CPTII codes from a members comprehensive exam, mapping to risk adjustment models
- Maintain quality and production standards required by Adobe Care and Wellness
- Remain current on diagnosis coding guidelines and risk adjustment reimbursement
Requirements
- Active certified coder certification (CRC) through AHIMA or AAPC
- At least one year experience as a certified coder
- At least one year experience of risk adjustment
- Ability to code using an ICD-10 code book
- Knowledge of HIPPA
- Strong clinical knowledge related to chronic illness diagnosis
- Computer proficiency
- High-speed internet access at home
