Home décor division of multi-divisional company is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Production Artist to join our team. This role is responsible for creating accurate, factory-ready tech packs and production files for hardlines home products, including packaging, product specifications, and artwork files. The ideal candidate is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to manage multiple SKUs with precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed tech packs for hardlines home products, including packaging layouts, product specifications, and factory-ready artwork files
- Prepare production files using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, ensuring correct die lines, resolution, color profiles, CMYK setup, and Pantone color accuracy
- Review and proof tech packs carefully to ensure all information is accurate before sending to suppliers
- Communicate with factories and suppliers to request high-resolution sample images once tech packs samples have been produced
- Follow up with suppliers regarding sample status, timing, and expected arrival dates
- Manage multiple SKUs and projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Proofread and approve factory inspection reports
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, print production, packaging, and product design processes
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to proofread files for accuracy
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changes
Preferred but Not Required
- Experience creating custom artwork patterns from scratch
- Packaging experience, including working with and revising factory packaging dielines and specifications
- Experience organizing finalized tech packs
- Experience working with overseas factories or suppliers on tech pack updates and design changes
