Dynamic apparel company is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Assistant Designer. The Assistant Activewear Designer supports the design and development of women’s activewear collections, helping translate trend concepts into commercial, performance-driven products aligned with customer and value strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing seasonal activewear collections (leggings, sports bras, tops, outerwear)
- Create technical flats, CADs, and presentation boards using Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
- Support fabric, trim, and color development with a focus on cost and performance
- Help prepare and update tech packs for product development and overseas vendors
- Conduct trend and competitor research relevant to target customer
- Participate in fittings and assist with revisions to improve fit and function
- Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, and production teams to meet deadlines
- Maintain organized design files and sample tracking
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in apparel design (activewear preferred)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Basic knowledge of garment construction, fit, and performance fabrics
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
