JOB SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant position is responsible for assisting the finance department in creating accurate
and timely financial records for the organization. This position reports to the Controller and CFO.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure timeliness of the month end close process and completeness and accuracy of accounting
- Perform and properly document general journal entries.
- Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements for month end close.
- Comfortable using Excel and learning new Excel functions to efficiently work with large quantities of
- Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals and logs.
- Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts including bank accounts.
- Provide detailed analyses and answer accounting and financial questions by researching and

- Assist the Controller in preparing accounting records, including financial statements and other

- Associates Degree in accounting required
- Prior accounting experience preferred
- Excel certifications are a plus
- Computer skills and excel knowledge required
- Excellent organizational skills and time management
- Financial management knowledge
- Must have good communication skills
