Requirements / Qualifications

Education & Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent., • Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. • Experience with students K through 8. • One year successful full-time experience implementing occupational therapy intervention plans. Verifiable, supervised experience as a volunteer in a school or related organizational activity may be substituted for the work experience on an equal time basis. • Experience working in a variety of settings, including clinic, school, or County Office of Education, and home. • Experience working as a member of a Trans disciplinary/multi-disciplinary team. • Experience working collaboratively with families, and in training others in the appropriate implementation of education programs related to development of motor skills is desirable. • Demonstrated experience utilizing pediatric sensory-integration techniques is desirable. • Experience working with special needs children is desirable. Licenses/Certificates/Training/Other Requirement: • Valid certificate by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. • Certification by the National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy • Possession of or willingness and ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and Universal Precautions • Successfully pass fingerprints, health (TB), drug and alcohol screening testing, physical examination and/or other employment clearance. Required Documents: • Letter of Introduction • Resume • Three Letters of Recommendation (signed by hand and dated within 1 year) • College Transcripts - must include date highest degree conferred Our District requires a complete application, and that all materials to be considered as part of your application packet be submitted on-line with your application.
