Job Title: Transformer Winding Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Transformer Winding Technician to help build high-quality transformers for various applications. This role is ideal for mechanically and electrically inclined individuals with experience in transformer winding, MIG welding, or industrial assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare winding forms and gather materials such as insulation, copper tubing, and strapping.
- Set up and operate winding/tensioning equipment.
- Wind conductors onto molds or blocks according to engineering prints and install insulating materials.
- Perform quality checks on completed products before moving them to the next stage.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Prior transformer winding experience preferred.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• MIG welding experience.
• Ability to gas, braze, and solder copper is a plus (certifications preferred where applicable).
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds; push/pull up to 200 pounds.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing.
• Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina for extended periods of physical work.
