What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Adecco Permanent Recruitment?
We are recruiting for Maintenance Technicians (all shifts) to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of equipment and facility systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to: minimize downtime, optimize equipment performance, and drive continuous improvement throughout the plant.
Maintenance Technicians typically:
- Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on production machinery, tooling, and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to reduce equipment failures.
- Accurately log maintenance activities, part usage, and system changes using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to solve equipment problems and implement process improvements.
- Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrading of machines and facility infrastructure.
- Candidates should possess:
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
- 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance software.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and general industrial safety standards.
- Eligible to obtain or maintain a Journeyman license (preferred).
