We are recruiting for a Project Engineer to lead the design, integration, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and inspection standards across our production facility. This role is critical in enhancing product quality, cost efficiency, and operational reliability, particularly within metal casting or injection molding environments.
The Process Engineer will manage cross-functional projects involving Product Development, Manufacturing, and Design Engineering, and will work closely with Process Engineers and Customer Support teams to ensure all product and process requirements are met efficiently and cost-effectively.
Specifically, this position:
- Identifies and implements process improvements that enhance quality, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
- Applies knowledge of manufacturing methods, tooling, materials, and quality standards to improve production processes.
- Utilizes data-driven methods and statistical tools to identify root causes of product failures.
- Recommend and implement corrective actions related to design, tolerancing, and process parameters.
- Provides engineering support to production teams to ensure smooth manufacturing workflows.
- Troubleshoots issues related to product design, materials, or process inconsistencies.
- Collaborates with customers to understand specifications and ensure manufacturing capabilities align with expectations.
- Participates in product reviews to verify manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Reviews engineering designs for feasibility, manufacturability, and cost optimization.
- Supports design modifications that improve production performance and reliability.
- Trains operators and technicians on updated procedures, ensuring safety and quality compliance.
- Leads quality improvement efforts by developing and enforcing quality standards and inspection criteria.
- Tracks and reports cost savings resulting from process enhancements and operational changes.
Candidates should posses :
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field preferred. Exceptional experience may substitute for formal education.
- 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Background in metal casting (foundry) or injection molding.
This position offers:
