The Senior Financial Analyst provides financial analysis and decision support for production and manufacturing operations. This role is heavily focuses on cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting to support operational efficiency, cost control, and strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Analyzing production costs, including labor, materials, overhead, and variances against standard costs.
- Preparing and presenting regular financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs related to production performance.
- Conducting variance analysis (price, usage, volume, and efficiency) and provide clear explanations to management.
- Supporting the development of annual operating budgets and periodic forecasts for production departments.
- Monitoring actual results against budget and forecast, identifying risks and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, and 2-4 years of previous work experience in a Financial Analyst capacity so similar position.
- CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification is a plus.
- Experience in cost accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Costpoint) preferred.
