What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nondestructive Testing Engineer position at Adecco Permanent Recruitment?
We are recruiting for an experienced NDT Level III Inspector to lead technical inspection activities and support quality and compliance initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to oversee procedures, training, audits, and inspection operations.
Specifically, this position will:
- Write, approve, and maintain all NDT department procedures and inspection techniques
- Train, evaluate, and maintain certification records for Level I and Level II personnel
- Ensure all inspection personnel maintain current certification status and compliance requirements
- Review new customer specifications and revisions to ensure internal procedures remain compliant
- Perform product inspections using customer-supplied acceptance criteria
- Support customer audits and site visits by explaining technical processes, procedures, and inspection methods
- Independently set up and perform all Level III inspection duties with minimal supervision
- Maintain organized, clean, and audit-ready work areas, equipment, and documentation
- Provide technical support across all NDT operations and serve as a subject matter expert during audits and inspections
Candidates should possess:
- NAS410 and SNT-TC-1A Level III certification required
- Extensive experience in nondestructive testing and aerospace or manufacturing inspection environments
- Strong technical writing, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to interpret specifications, procedures, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Experience training and mentoring inspection personnel
This position offers a salary of $95-110K with full benefits, relocation available. This position is not eligible for sponsorship, candidates should hold US Citizenship status.
