The X-Ray Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines. This role involves working closely with patients, clinicians, and department leads to ensure accurate imaging, proper workflow, and excellent patient care. Training is provided, and candidates must be comfortable working at different clinic locations based on weekly scheduling needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate X-ray equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images following established positioning and technical protocols.
- Verify imaging orders, prepare patients for exams, and clearly explain procedures.
- Review images for clarity, accuracy, and proper labeling before submitting to providers.
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment, promptly reporting any issues or malfunctions.
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety standards and proper documentation requirements.
- Accurately record exam details, patient information, and imaging markers within department records.
- Support workflow and patient throughput alongside other technologists and clinical staff.
- IEMA License required
- ARRT Certification preferred, but not required
- Experience with CR or digital radiography systems
- Fluoroscopy experience strongly preferred
- Orthopedic imaging experience is a plus, but not mandatory
- Reliable transportation to travel between clinic locations as scheduled
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide a positive patient experience
- Monday–Friday
- Hours vary based on clinic needs, typically within 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Weekly schedule provided in advance
- Outpatient environment with more manageable volumes than hospital settings
