What You’ll Do
General Accounting & Close
- Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and perform account reconciliations
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Assist in preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Maintain work-in-progress (WIP) schedules and job cost reporting
- Support revenue recognition and project profitability tracking
- Analyze project costs including labor, materials, and overhead
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance
- Work with large datasets using Excel and reporting tools
- Assist with audit preparation (financial, tax, insurance)
- Support tax filings including sales and property tax
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies
- Partner with AP/AR, project managers, and operations teams
- Help identify process improvements and efficiencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- 1 years of accounting experience
- Construction or project accounting experience (WIP) strongly preferred
- Understanding of GAAP fundamentals
- Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze data
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
