Job Description:
The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, assist with month-end close activities, and contribute to financial reporting and process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with monthly and annual close processes
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger activity
- Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial data for accuracy
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll-related functions
- Track fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accruals
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Help improve accounting workflows and strengthen internal controls
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial needs
- Create reports and assist with special accounting projects as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 3–5 years of accounting experience preferred
- Manufacturing or distribution industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience working within ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively within a team environment
- Dependable, proactive, and self-motivated professional
