Responsibilities
- Maintain and oversee general ledger activity across multiple entities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP
- Play a key role in the month-end and quarter-end close process, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial results
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for internal and external reporting purposes
- Assist with public company reporting requirements, including supporting documentation related to quarterly and annual filings
- Review accounting work prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
- Support consolidation activities and maintain accurate reporting across multiple subsidiaries and legal entities
- Partner with teams supporting audit, tax, and financial reporting functions to provide documentation and analysis as needed
- Utilize the company’s general ledger platform and advanced Excel reporting tools to maintain financial records and support internal reporting
- Assist with maintaining documentation, schedules, and internal controls related to financial reporting and close processes
- Provide additional support during major operational events or periods of increased financial activity to ensure timely expense tracking and reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4 years of accounting experience, ideally within public accounting or a large corporate accounting environment
- Strong experience with general ledger accounting and the close process
- Experience with financial statement preparation and consolidated reporting
- Exposure to public company reporting or SEC filings (10-K / 10-Q) is a strong plus
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within structured reporting deadlines
