The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading day-to-day activities across a regional EMS operation, including oversight of EMT staff, scheduling, staffing logistics, and compliance. This is a hands-on role that requires a combination of operational expertise, team leadership, and excellent communication. The ideal candidate has experience in emergency medical services and is ready to step into an impactful leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations and manage a team of 10–12 EMTs
- Oversee staff scheduling and ensure adequate shift coverage
- Collaborate with healthcare facilities and internal teams to ensure smooth coordination
- Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and performance oversight for field staff
- Review operational processes and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable healthcare regulations
- Maintain operational readiness by inspecting vehicles, stations, and equipment
- Submit payroll and service reports in a timely manner
- Monitor and enhance dispatch and response performance metrics
- Participate in leadership meetings and remain accessible for operational needs
- EMT, Paramedic, or clinical background strongly preferred
- Prior leadership experience in healthcare, hospitality, retail, or service-based industries
- Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-based environment
- Ability to lift and move up to 250 lbs as needed
