We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join a growing Learning & Development team supporting more than 3,000 employees across the U.S. and Canada. This individual will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality learning programs while helping strengthen and scale the organization's overall training strategy.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in instructional design methodology and can independently take a project from needs analysis through design, development, LMS implementation, and delivery. This role will partner closely with subject matter experts to transform complex processes and information into engaging, practical learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop engaging instructor-led, virtual, and e-learning programs using established instructional design principles.
- Partner with subject matter experts to translate complex processes and technical information into clear, effective training content.
- Manage the full instructional design lifecycle, including needs analysis, curriculum design, content development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Develop e-learning content using Articulate Rise/Rise 360, Camtasia, Adobe Creative tools, and other learning technologies.
- Upload, organize, maintain, and manage learning content within the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Review existing training materials and identify opportunities to improve content, structure, consistency, and learner experience.
- Facilitate training sessions and confidently deliver content to employees and senior-level leadership.
- Support curriculum alignment across multiple job functions and business areas.
- Collaborate with the L&D team on broader learning initiatives, performance improvement, and employee upskilling.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Qualifications
- Professional experience in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Instructional Technology, Curriculum Development, or a related area.
- Formal education or training in instructional design, instructional technology, adult learning, or a related discipline strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, needs analysis, and performance-based learning.
- Proficiency with Articulate Rise/Rise 360 required; experience with Camtasia and Adobe Creative tools strongly preferred.
- Experience working with and managing content within an LMS.
- Ability to work directly with SMEs and independently develop training from complex source material.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, written communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to present professionally and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
- Healthcare, Medicare, durable medical equipment, or other highly regulated industry experience is a plus.
