Position Title: Senior / Fund Accountant
Location: Arlington, VA - hybrid schedule
Assignment Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $90-110K

Key Responsibilities:
- Support middle market and private credit lending activities, including Commercial & Industrial (C&I) loans.
- Assist with syndicated loans, including loan assignments and participations, ensuring accurate tracking and processing.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Analyze variances and provide financial insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership on financial reporting and process improvements.
- Support internal and external audits, including documentation and auditor coordination.
- Execute the full loan boarding lifecycle, including document review, data entry, system setup, compliance checks, and borrower communication.
- Review loan documentation to ensure terms, covenants, and key data elements are accurately reflected in internal systems.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills for loan analysis, data validation, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Coordinate with lending, credit, legal, and operations teams to resolve loan setup issues and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate loan records and support ongoing servicing and reporting needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- 2 years traditional accounting
- 2 years experience in loan background (middle market lending, private credit, or commercial banking operations)
- Working knowledge of C&I loans and syndicated loan structures, including assignments and participations.
- Strong understanding of the loan boarding process and end-to-end loan lifecycle.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple loans and deadlines.
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
