Job Description:
The HR Generalist serves as a trusted resource for employees and management by assisting with a broad range of human resources activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain employee records and ensure accurate data within HR systems and databases.
- Support employee lifecycle activities, including new hire onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding processes.
- Prepare and process HR documentation related to promotions, compensation adjustments, transfers, and organizational updates.
- Assist with benefits administration and act as a point of contact for employee questions regarding benefit programs.
- Review and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook content to support compliance efforts.
- Conduct routine audits of personnel files and HR documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate employment verifications and other employment-related requests.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and general workplace questions.
- Partner with recruiting efforts by posting positions, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and supporting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
- Assist with employee relations matters and escalate complex issues as appropriate.
- Collaborate with payroll, benefits providers, and other third-party vendors to support HR operations.
- Track HR projects, deadlines, and compliance-related initiatives.
- Create reports, presentations, and spreadsheets to support HR and business objectives.
- Coordinate exit interview processes and maintain separation documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of HR Generalist or related human resources experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required; must be comfortable providing verbal and written communication in both languages.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience working with HRIS systems and employee record management.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
