We are seeking a Benefits & Payroll Specialist to support day-to-day HR operations for our client. This role will work closely with HR leadership and Accounting to help manage employee benefits programs and assist with payroll processing. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with processing payroll, including tracking hours, leave balances, and employee deductions
- Review payroll data for accuracy and partner with internal teams to resolve discrepancies
- Support administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollments and updates
- Guide employees through onboarding and benefits selection processes
- Help manage open enrollment and communicate updates to staff
- Process qualifying life events and ensure timely updates to benefit elections
- Coordinate with external vendors and carriers to maintain accurate benefits data
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies and benefits
- Maintain organized and confidential employee records and documentation
- Provide general administrative and operational support to HR and Accounting teams
- 1–3 years of experience in HR, benefits administration, or related field
- Exposure to payroll processes or strong interest in learning payroll administration
- Familiarity with benefits such as FSA, HSA, 401(k), and insurance plans
- High level of attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Experience with HRIS or payroll systems (Paycom or similar preferred)
- Professional demeanor with strong reliability and follow-through
- Prior experience in a professional services environment is a plus
