About the Opportunity
Addison Group is hiring an Accounts Receivable Representative on behalf of our client for a contract-to-hire opportunity within a specialty healthcare practice. This role is ideal for someone with strong revenue cycle experience who enjoys problem-solving, working claims, and collaborating in a team-driven environment. The position offers hands-on exposure to multiple aspects of patient financial services and opportunities for cross-training.
Key Responsibilities
- Review assigned accounts by payer and work through claim queues to resolve outstanding balances
- Investigate and correct claim errors, then resubmit for reimbursement in a timely manner
- Communicate with insurance carriers to follow up on claim status, denials, and payment discrepancies
- Ensure adherence to timely filing deadlines and payer-specific requirements
- Participate in weekly team meetings to review billing performance and address issues
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to improve workflow efficiency and claim resolution
- Utilize practice management systems and clearinghouses to manage claims processing and documentation
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or medical billing within a healthcare setting
- Background in specialty practices or private healthcare environments preferred
- Familiarity with commercial insurance plans and payer requirements
- Experience working with EMR and billing systems (ModMed, clearinghouse platforms such as Trizetto; Epic knowledge a plus)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage a high-volume workload
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Solid organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated job stability and consistent tenure in prior roles
