Job Title: Accounts Payable Supervisor
Location: Hybrid, based out of Minneapolis, MN (candidates MUST be local to MN or western WI to be eligible)
Compensation: $80,000-$90,000/yr, including annual bonus earning potential

Position Summary
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead a high-volume AP team within a fast-paced and evolving environment. This role will oversee daily AP operations, support process improvement initiatives, and help drive efficiency across multiple business units. The ideal candidate brings strong AP leadership experience, a process-oriented mindset, and the ability to balance hands-on involvement with team oversight in a changing organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and provide day-to-day direction to a team of AP professionals, including workload management and performance support
- Oversee invoice processing, payment execution, and expense reporting to ensure accuracy and timely completion
- Review and approve AP transactions while ensuring proper coding and alignment with accounting policies and general ledger activity
- Coordinate weekly payment runs including ACH, wire, EFT, and check processing
- Support month-end close activities including AP accruals, reconciliations, and intercompany clearing support
- Monitor shared AP workflows and inbox management to ensure timely response and processing across the department
- Assist with GRIR reconciliation activities and help resolve invoice or receiving discrepancies
- Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to research and resolve payment or invoice issues
- Generate reporting and analysis from ERP systems to support operational and leadership needs
- Identify opportunities for workflow improvement, automation, and process standardization across AP functions
- Support corporate card and travel & expense programs
- Help maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
Requirements:
- 5 years of accounts payable experience, including prior supervisory or team leadership experience
- Experience overseeing high-volume AP operations in a multi-entity or complex business environment
- ERP experience required; SAP/Netsuite/Dynamics or similar large ERP platforms strongly preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and lookup functions
- Solid understanding of AP processes, general ledger impact, accruals, and reconciliations
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and support operational efficiencies within AP
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and support team development
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on within daily AP operations
