A growing organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. This role will work closely with finance leadership and play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, strengthening internal controls, and supporting the company’s ongoing operational growth.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, experience managing month-end close activities, and the ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations with a strong focus on accounts payable and general ledger activities
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analyses
- Maintain accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities, including variance analysis
- Assist with revenue recognition and other technical accounting matters
- Manage statutory reporting requirements, tax-related filings, and compliance initiatives
- Serve as a liaison for external auditors and assist with audit preparation
- Develop, document, and improve accounting policies and procedures
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements across accounting functions
- Partner cross-functionally with finance and operational teams to strengthen internal controls and reporting accuracy
- Support special projects and strategic finance initiatives as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required
- 6 years of progressive accounting experience required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP required
- Experience with revenue recognition accounting standards preferred
- ERP system experience required; experience with NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP preferred
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a hybrid environment
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred
- Public accounting or professional services background preferred
- SOX compliance or internal audit experience preferred
- IFRS exposure is a plus
- SQL or database experience is a plus
- Experience working within multinational organizations is preferred
