Our top client in the retail space is searching for an Engineering Manager to lead architecture, engineering delivery, and team development across a dynamic product data ecosystem. This role blends deep technical expertise with leadership acumen, driving modernization, scalability, and Agile transformation within a fast-evolving environment. Ideal candidates are local to St. Louis and have 3 years of management experience with an Architecture background, as you will be making architectural decisions with the team.

Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Technical Leadership (55%)
- Lead architectural planning, design reviews, and modernization initiatives.
- Act as both a strategic and hands-on architect for complex projects.
Agile Delivery Leadership (25%)
Team Leadership & Development (15%)
Continuous Improvement & Governance (10%)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10 years of progressive software engineering experience; 3 years in engineering management or technical leadership.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft/Azure stack (.NET Core, Web API, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Service Bus, Event Grid, App Services, etc.).
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps (CI/CD, IaC), and familiarity with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Proven success in leading architecture and Agile transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills, with the ability to balance technical depth and delivery execution.
Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
