Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to support a law firm in the Kansas City area. This is a direct hire opportunity with an onsite work model.
The Legal Assistant's responsibilities include:
- Coordinating, scheduling, and calendaring depositions and hearings.
- Performing investigative research and administrative tasks.
- Electronic filing in state and federal courts.
- Communicating with attorneys, paralegals, and clients.
- Calendaring and docketing.
- Assisting with organizing and maintaining electronic case files.
- Data entry as needed.
- Any additional duties and tasks as needed under the direction of paralegals and attorneys.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience working as a litigation legal assistant.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Familiarity with court procedures and electronic filing systems.
- Experience working with document management software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
