As The Finance Manager, You Will
- Guide daily accounting operations and support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Oversee general ledger management, reconciliations, grant reporting, and financial statement preparation.
- Partner closely with the CFO to provide timely, data-driven insights for leadership, funders, grantors, and board reporting.
- Lead and develop a team of 3 finance professionals, fostering a supportive and high-performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal grant requirements, and FQHC-specific regulations.
- Support continuous improvement by enhancing financial tools, dashboards, and workflow efficiencies.
Qualifications For a Finance Manager
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 7-10 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Minimum 5 years of direct people management experience
- Healthcare or nonprofit experience; FQHC experience is a plus
- Experience with grant-funded programs and federal compliance requirements preferred
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration across departments
- Proficiency with automated financial accounting systems (MIP Fund Accounting preferred) | Experience with Ramp (expense management), AVID (AP), and CTR (payroll) | Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, modeling) | Familiarity with third-party billing systems and automated workflows | Experience supporting financial audits and working with external auditors
