**Job Requirements**

• - High School diploma or GED required
• Preferred: Current Idaho driver\'s license
• Familiarity with basic office terminology, procedures, and
  
  

equipment

• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute
• Strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation
• Proficiency in operating a computer terminal (CRT), printer, and
  
  

other office equipment

• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
  
  

with colleagues and external agencies

• Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with the public
  
  

in a respectful and professional manner

• Ability to effectively manage stressful situations
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work
  
  

independently and efficiently

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
• Capable of following both verbal and written instructions
• Applicants must successfully complete an in-person CritiCall
  
  

test to be considered for this position.

The computer-based exam consists of multiple sections that must all

be passed. Skills tested include cross-referencing, prioritization,

**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**

• Before the performance of assigned duties, Security Control
  
  

Specialists be deputized by the Ada County Sheriff;

• Incumbents shall wear the uniform of a non-commissioned Deputy
  
  

Sheriff and wear an identification badge while on duty;

• Must appear before an oral board and successfully complete a
  
  

polygraph and background investigation prior to hire; and

• This position has been designated safety-sensitive therefore, the
  
  

incumbent is subject to random drug testing.
