Job Title: Yard Jockey (Switcher Driver)
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Pay Rate:$19.00/hr. - $22.00/hr
Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred)
- Previous Yard Jockey or switcher experience preferred
- Ability to safely operate a yard tractor
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard Jockey (Switcher Driver) to support yard and warehouse operations. The Yard Jockey (Switcher Driver) will be responsible for moving trailers efficiently, maintaining organization within the yard, and ensuring safe loading and unloading processes.
Responsibilities:
- Safely move trailers in and out of dock doors
- Perform daily yard inspections and equipment checks
- Track and maintain accurate trailer locations
- Communicate with warehouse and transportation teams
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Report equipment issues and operational concerns promptly
