Duties
- Curate playlists that match the event theme or audience preferences, ensuring a lively and engaging environment
- Mix music seamlessly using professional DJ equipment to maintain a continuous flow of sound and energy
- Read the crowd’s mood and adjust music selections accordingly to maximize enjoyment and participation
- Operate sound systems, microphones, and lighting equipment to enhance the overall experience
- Collaborate with event organizers or clients to understand specific musical needs and event flow
- Manage setup and breakdown of DJ equipment efficiently before and after events
- Maintain a library of music tracks across various genres for versatile performances
Requirements
- Proven experience as a DJ or in a similar role with a strong portfolio of performances
- Strong speaking voice and not afraid to people in front of crowds
- Clean Cut appearance
- reliable transportation to get the the event and carry equipment
- ability to lift 70 pounds
- Proficiency in using DJ software and hardware such as turntables, mixers, and controllers
- Excellent sense of timing, rhythm, and musical genre diversity
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients, event organizers, and audiences
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and special events
- Knowledge of sound equipment setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance
