Job Title: Construction Finance Assistant
Location: Bradenton, FL
Pay Rate: $24.00 - $30.00/hour DOE
Hours: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Our client company is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Finance Assistant to join their growing team. The Construction Finance Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the accounting and project management teams by ensuring accurate financial tracking for construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with construction accounting experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience

• Two (2) to five (5) years of accounting, bookkeeping, construction administration, or construction finance experience

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities

• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Experience with construction accounting software preferred (Sage 300, Viewpoint Vista, Procore, CMiC, or similar)

The ideal Construction Finance Assistant will have experience supporting construction projects through accurate financial reporting, job costing, and vendor coordination while maintaining organized project documentation.

Responsibilities include:

• Process vendor invoices and verify supporting documentation

• Assist with purchase orders, subcontractor payments, and lien waivers

• Track project budgets, costs, and financial commitments

• Reconcile invoices with contracts, purchase orders, and approved change orders

• Enter financial information into construction accounting or ERP software

• Prepare draw packages and payment applications

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

• Maintain organized project financial files and supporting documentation

• Generate financial reports for project managers and company leadership

• Coordinate with project managers, accounting staff, vendors, and subcontractors to resolve discrepancies

• Support month-end closing activities and audit preparation
