Job Description – Senior QA Engineer (Automation & API)
Location: Sunrise, FL (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with strong experience in automation, API testing, and full-stack applications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building scalable testing frameworks, working closely with developers, and driving quality across modern cloud-based systems.
You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality releases by designing automation strategies, integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines, and validating both backend and frontend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation frameworks for API, backend, and UI testing
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Work extensively on API testing (REST services, backend validation)
- Collaborate with development teams to improve test coverage and code quality
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Support testing across web, backend services, and cloud-based applications
- Participate in test planning, strategy, and defect tracking
- Ensure quality standards across performance, scalability, and security
Required Skills
- Strong experience in QA Automation & Software Testing (6 years)
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST, etc.)
- Experience testing backend systems (Node.js preferred)
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or WebdriverIO
- Experience with JavaScript-based testing frameworks (Mocha, Jest, etc.)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
