Accounting Manager

Title: Accounting Manager
Reports To: President
FLSA Status: Exempt

JOB PURPOSE:
Determines organization financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting,
verifying, analyzing, reporting, and controlling financial information; developing internal accounting
controls; monitoring financial status; impetrating accounting policy; applying observations and
recommendations to operational issues; managing staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieves accounting operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to
strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans;
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and assist with
budget interpretation;
- Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial and forecasts;
- Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection,
consolidation, and evaluation of financial data and reports;
- Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations;
- Protects organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others about
potential breeches;
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years or more related experience required;
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy required;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent analytical skills
- Highly organized and ability to multitask
- Proficiency with computer platforms and applications
- High level of experience using Excel and Microsoft Office;

EDUCATION & TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
- CPA certification preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Work performed in an office setting;
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about facilities;
- Customer support and business requirements to include auto and air travel (~ 5%);
