The Accounts Receivable Clerk and Payroll Administrator play a vital role in ensuring the smooth, accurate and confidential financial management of our construction projects. This position handles processing accounts receivable, billing clients, and managing payroll, which includes entering financial transactions into internal databases, compiling job costs, researching and resolving discrepancies, maintaining confidentiality of all financial data, and preparing routine reports and summaries. The role also supports business growth and the accounting department by entering financial transactions necessary for preparing monthly and yearly financial reports.
General Duties:
• Maintain organized filing systems (electronic and physical).
• Provide administrative support to relevant teams as needed.
• Assist with back-office organization, clean up and office lock up when needed.
• Assist with general office tasks and receptionist duties; Answer phones and field phone calls for team members (backup).
• Attend weekly meeting.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• A degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in construction.
• Strong understanding of payroll principles and processes.
• Experience with construction accounting software (e.g., Foundation) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Windows).
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High energy self-starter with a professional demeanor.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
