Job Title: Ed Tech II/III – Support for Students with IEPs
Location: Acton Elementary School
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Ed Tech II or III to support students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and special education staff to implement accommodations and modifications to ensure student success in academic and social settings. The grade span for this position will mostly focus on students in grades 5-8.
Responsibilities:
● Support students with IEPs by providing individualized or small-group instruction.
● Assist in implementing behavior management strategies.
● Collaborate with teachers (regular and Special Education) to adapt lesson materials and assignments.
● Monitor student progress and report observations to the teaching staff.
● Ensure the safety and well-being of students during classroom activities.
Qualifications:
● Certification as an Educational Technician II or III,
● Associate's or Bachelor's Degree required.
● Prior experience working with students with IEPs or in a unique education setting (preferred).
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
● Ability to follow directions and work as part of a collaborative team.
