Industrial MIG Fabrication Welder
Location: Bridgman, MI
A day in this roleYour shift begins at a clean, organized workstation in a modern manufacturing facility. You review the day’s work orders, confirm measurements against blueprints, and set up your MIG (GMAW) welder. As production moves, you join steel components with clean, consistent beads, verify strength and accuracy, and keep pace with line goals—always with safety first and quality at the forefront.
What you’ll do- Execute MIG welding on steel parts and production materials to meet daily throughput targets.
- Interpret blueprints, work orders, and measurements to ensure exact fit and finish.
- Operate welders, grinders, cutting tools, and related fabrication equipment with care and precision.
- Inspect completed welds for appearance, strength, and dimensional accuracy.
- Sustain a reliable production rhythm while adhering to safety and quality procedures.
- Support material handling and product assembly when needed.
- Conduct routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance.
- Maintain a tidy, well-organized work area.
- Hands-on MIG welding experience preferred.
- Ability to read tape measures and basic blueprints accurately.
- Keen attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Comfort working independently and on a team in a manufacturing setting.
- Prior manufacturing or production experience is a plus.
- Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
- Comfort working in a warehouse or industrial production environment.
