Trailer Welder / Fabricator
Pay: $18.00–$26.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday–Friday | 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Build More Than Just Parts.
At Active Trailers, no two days are exactly the same. Instead of standing at the same station making the same weld over and over, you'll be part of transforming used semi-trailers into quality equipment that's ready to get back on the road.
Our welders are involved from the beginning of a project to the final product. You'll fabricate custom parts, repair and rebuild trailers, modify existing components, and solve problems as you go. Many times, you'll create your own patterns and fabricate the parts needed rather than simply welding together pieces someone else made.
If you enjoy variety, thinking through challenges, and taking pride in seeing a trailer come together because of your work, this is the job for you.
What You'll Do
- Rebuild and refurbish used semi-trailers.
- Fabricate parts and components as needed for each project.
- Perform MIG welding on carbon steel and aluminum.
- Repair, modify, and install trailer components.
- Use fabrication equipment including plasma cutters, torches, grinders, and other shop tools.
- Work independently while collaborating with a skilled team to complete quality repairs.
What We're Looking For
- MIG welding experience (2 years preferred).
- Strong fabrication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to visualize, measure, and create parts when needed.
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Pride in producing quality workmanship and seeing a project through from start to finish.
Physical Requirements
- Regular standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to working safely and following all PPE requirements.
