One of our clients, an International IT support & solutions serving the automotive industry is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Wireless Cellular / Radio Engineer to support the design, deployment, and evolution of Private Cellular (4G/5G) and Radio infrastructure across North America.
In this role, you will partner with business and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-performance cellular solutions across campuses, manufacturing facilities, data centers, and remote sites.
This is a hands-on strategic role involving architecture, deployment, optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Private Cellular (4G/5G) initiatives including PoCs and production deployments
- Design, test, and implement cellular/radio solutions
- Lead and execute small to large-scale projects (strategic and tactical)
- Serve as an escalation point for project and operational issues
- Conduct site surveys and develop coverage plans
- Coordinate deployments, upgrades, and expansions across multiple sites
- Collaborate with vendors on solution selection and issue resolution
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues
- Manage change requests for cellular/radio systems
- Maintain documentation including operational support guides
- Support enterprise service tickets as needed
- Travel to sites for deployment, testing, and validation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8–10 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Technical Requirements:
- Experience with DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) and signal boosting solutions
- Hands-on experience with Private Cellular (4G/5G, CBRS or licensed spectrum)
- Strong knowledge of RF and LTE networks
- Solid understanding of networking (LAN/WAN/WLAN, TCP/IP, Firewalls)
- Strong troubleshooting skills using tools like Wireshark, iPerf
- Experience evaluating system performance and scalability
- Cisco certification (CCNA or higher)
- Experience designing and deploying Private Cellular networks end-to-end
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift 10-25 pounds if needed. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision and hearing.
