Sales Account Manager - Automotive Component Manufacturer (36466)

A manufacturer of automotive connectors in the Novi, MI area is currently searching for a motivated Sales Account Manager to join their office. The ideal candidate will have sales or customer service experience in an industrial environment and is technical-minded, with the ability to develop new business opportunities.

**This is a full-time, direct hire position with comprehensive benefits package.

Account Manager Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
• Identify new business opportunities
• Cultivate sales to meet company goals
• Collaborate with outside sales and engineering teams in regard to product planning and demand
• Work with customers to determine appropriate solutions to their needs, participate in new product launches, and answer questions and requests for information regarding product details, quality assurance and issue resolution, etc.
• Market research and analysis
• Creation of sales activity and research reports for upper management
• Other duties as assigned

Account Manager Requirements Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Business- or Engineering-related field
• At least 3 years’ sales / account management experience for an industrial manufacturer
• Prefer familiarity with connectors for wire harnesses or related electronics for automotive industry
• Experience working with Japanese OEMs or tiered suppliers is preferred
• Prefer bilingual English and Spanish speaking skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required
• Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment
• Ability to prioritize tasks and good organizational skills
• Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
