Entry Level Mechanical / Quality Engineer - Automotive Parts Manufacture (35570)

A global automotive parts manufacturing company is currently seeking an Entry Level / Mechanical / Quality Engineer to join their facility in the Morristown, TN area. *This is a full-time and direct hire position.*

Entry Level Mechanical / Quality Engineer Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and implement quality department procedures, standards, and process improvements
• Oversee product quality assurance; lead investigations into quality issues and determine causes and solutions
• Identify and resolve issues in product design, testing, and production
• Participate in the interviewing, hiring, and training of employees
• Ensure that products and manufacturing processes are meeting customer, industry, and governmental standards
• Overseeing creation of PPAP, APQP, and other quality documentation
• Plan and conduct quality / process audits
• Lead daily and weekly team meetings for quality personnel
• Act as quality liaison and represent company interests and quality standards; serve as point of contact for customers’ quality issues, questions, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Entry Level Mechanical / Quality Engineer Requirements Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in an Industrial or Engineering field preferred
• Internship or Co-op experience is preferred
• Familiarity with PPAP / APQP documentation, ISO standards, 8Ds / 5 Whys, etc., as well as general knowledge of company, industry, and governmental quality standards and procedures
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership ability in a multicultural environment
• Strong time management skills and multitasking ability
• Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
• This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
