Electrical / Controls Engineer - Manufacture (35753)

An industrial parts manufacturer in the Lawrenceville, GA area is seeking a Electrical / Controls Engineer.

Responsibilities of Electrical / Controls Engineer:

• Investigate, plan, prepare RFQ, install and set-up equipment with industrial standards used in chemical manufacturing process (fine powder or similar products).
• Recommend equipment modifications to improve production efficiency, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products.
• Involve in continuous improvement of current equipment to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Design and fabricate or organize for external fabrication of new electrical panels and replacement parts.
• Support and perform Kaizen activity as a control engineer in Toner process manufacturing.
• Support to ensure proper functioning of Compressors and Air dryers.
• Troubleshoot a variety of routine to moderately complex manufacturing equipment electrical and control system problems.
• Support the sustainment of existing production lines as it relates to: ECR-ECOs, product quality, process improvements, and responsiveness to ergonomic and safety related issues.
• Investigate and determine the root cause of equipment failures/problems and implement countermeasures.
• Create and modify troubleshooting, start-up, equipment setup documents and other procedures.
• Create and modify preventive maintenance. Prepare schedules for Preventive maintenance as per manufacturing company’s equipment manuals.
• Prepare and present report with detailed root cause analysis and data.
• Prepare training materials to train production and maintenance personnel on the usage and maintenance of equipment.

Required of Electrical / Controls Engineer:

• Bachelor's Degree with Electrical, Controls, and/or related Engineering discipline
• 2 years of experience in Controls/Electrical Engineering
• Good understanding of the electrical, mechanical, and software engineering principles to create and maintain automated processes.
• Strong in AutoCAD, used to produce technical plans, blueprints, electrical layouts, drawings, and models required. SolidWorks a plus.
• Strong ability to program PLC’s, HMIs, and industrial networks. (Omron PLC, Omron & Proface HMI are a plus)
• Strong proficiency in setting up and programming VFD’s.
• Working knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology to produce various products. (Experience in chemical manufacturing process/powder handling is a plus.)
• Ability to do electrical design for construction of new and modification of existing electrical panels (Properly size wires, breakers, components etc. Follow NEC and NFPA regulations).
• Proven ability to work on several projects simultaneously and independently under tight deadlines with driven and cost-effective results.
• Strong analytical, math, data-analysis, problem-solving/root cause analysis, research, and project management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels in a diverse environment and adapt to different interpersonal styles and communication methods.
• Effective communication skills (fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking) and presentation skills.
• Proficient Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, primarily Excel).
• Must be willing and able to work occasional overtime.
