An international manufacturer of industrial machinery components is searching for a motivated Inventory Specialist to join their team near Huntington, WV. The ideal candidate has prior experience with inventory control in a manufacturing environment with a strong attention to detail. Inventory Specialist Responsibilities:
- Oversee accurate tracking and documentation of inventory levels and material stock rotations
- Maintain accurate records of inventory locations pre- and post-delivery (FIFO)
- Communicate with customers to maintain monthly forecasts and identify any discrepancies
- Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments with international suppliers and maintain accurate records
- Communicate with suppliers and customers on matters related to damaged shipments
- Order parts and raw materials needed for production and ensure minimum levels are maintained
- Other duties, as assigned
Inventory Specialist Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable combination of education and relevant experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to communicate in Japanese strongly preferred
- Fluency in Excel, PowerPoint, and customer portals
- Must have own transportation and ability to work on-site
- This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
