Account Manager (Bilingual Japanese-English, IT Services)

Global IT Service Company is seeking a bilingual Account Manager (Japanese-English) who will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining long-term key clients by understanding their business needs and delivering high-quality IT service solutions. The ideal candidate will manage customer relationships, support business development initiatives, and oversee projects from proposal to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business development initiatives with major global automotive clients, affiliated group companies, and other key partners.
• Develop and present project proposals tailored to customer requirements.
• Schedule and coordinate internal and external meetings with stakeholders.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with key personnel at client and partner organizations.
• Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
• Expand existing accounts by identifying new business opportunities and proposing IT service solutions.
• Act as the primary communication link between clients and internal technical teams.
• Resolve client issues and ensure customer satisfaction and trust.
• Prepare regular progress reports and business forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, including account farming and project coordination.
• Oversee vendor and partner management for joint delivery of IT services.
• Support team expansion initiatives for on-site technical projects.
• The role requires up to 25% travel to other states, with each trip lasting up to one week.
• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift 10-25 pounds if needed. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision and hearing.
• Other duties assigned depending on various projects requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information System Management or Business Administration or a related field.
• Fluency in Japanese and English including reading and writing (business level required).
• 3 years of experience in account management or business development within the IT industry.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships at the executive level.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative approach to solutions.
• A self-starter with the ability to take initiative and drive results.
• Passionate about delivering value and contributing to business growth.
• Experience collaborating with remote and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented mindset.
