An Global food Distributor is seeking a Sales Account Manager in the Honolulu, HI . This role is ideal for someone with strong interpersonal skills, a passion for sales, and an appreciation for Japanese food culture. The successful candidate will travel within the region to promote products, build lasting client relationships, and expand the company’s presence in the market.
You will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with both English and/or Japanese-speaking customers and vendors, introducing new products, reviewing sales performance, and conducting market research on trends, products, and competitors.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of existing and prospective accounts, driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Japanese- and/or English-speaking clients, handling inquiries, orders, and contract negotiations.
- Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations to prospective clients in both English and/ or Japanese.
- Resolve customer issues promptly, escalating when necessary to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of Asian food products preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Perform tasks requiring standing for long time, walking, and lifting up to 50lb along with close and distance vision capabilities and hearing capabilities.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience in account management, sales, or customer service within the food distribution.
- Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English (verbal and written).
