MAJOR DUTIES
• Business Development & Prospecting: Proactively source new sales leads through inbound follow-up, outbound cold calls, emails, sales prospecting tools, industry networking, and trade shows. You'll be responsible for researching accounts, identifying key stakeholders, and generating interest in the company’s products and services using consultative selling techniques.
• Sales & Account Management: Close new business and achieve quarterly sales quotas for your assigned territory. You'll also conduct regular account reviews with top customers to ensure continued satisfaction and growth.
• Technical Sales & Engineering Support: Serve as a primary technical liaison, providing expert guidance and support to both new and existing customers. This includes contributing to new product development by translating client needs into viable solutions and coordinating projects between the company and the customer. You will manage the technical aspects of the sales cycle, including the submission of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to ensure product specifications meet client requirements. Furthermore, you are responsible for the creation and modification of Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new and existing products,
all while ensuring strict adherence to quality-related standards and documentation such as ISO 9001 and ISO 13485. This role requires a deep understanding of our products and a collaborative approach to solving complex technical challenges.
• Customer & Order Support: Process customer orders and provide pricing. You'll also assist the customer service team with billing, pricing, shipping, and returns, and help expedite orders in coordination with the production manager.
• Understand and follow quality-related standards and documentation
• Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility of each employee
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
• Proven experience in sales. Strong background selling custom-manufactured products to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) clients in the medical industry.
• Exceptional phone presence with a demonstrated ability to perform a high volume of daily sales calls.
• Proficiency in using corporate productivity software and web-based presentation tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
EDUCATION
An associate’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is required, along with a minimum of two years of sales experience within a manufacturing environment. A bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
EQUIPMENT USED
• Proficiency with standard office equipment, including computers, various software applications, and telecommunication• Experience with sales prospecting tools and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
• Skilled in utilizing web-based presentation and conferencing tools.
Hours and Location
• This is a full-time, on-site position located in Roanoke, VA.
• The standard work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Occasional travel, averaging 1-2 times per quarter, is for client meetings, trade shows, and other business needs.
Compensation
• Salary is $80,000 per year, with final compensation package being negotiable and commensurate with experience.
• This role is eligible for bi-yearly performance bonuses.

• It requires frequent use of hands for tasks such as typing and using a telephone.
