What you’ll do
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient processes for shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Implement process improvements using Lean methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Manage profit and loss statements, budget planning, and forecasting to achieve financial targets.
- Coordinate transportation planning and fleet management to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for effective operations management.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and non-vessel operating common carriers (NVOCC) to streamline supply chain activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while maintaining high standards of quality in all warehouse functions.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse management or operations management with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of inventory control processes and warehouse distribution strategies.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and supply chain analytics tools.
Preferred qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English for effective communication with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with freight shipping processes, procurement practices, and materials management.
- Experience with AS400 systems or similar platforms is a plus.
- Forklift certification is desirable but not mandatory.
