Senior Project Manager – Commercial Construction
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and autonomous Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead complex commercial construction and installation projects from pre-construction through closeout.
This role requires a hands-on leader with deep experience in commercial construction, capable of managing multiple projects, leading teams, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate is execution-driven, detail-oriented, and confident making decisions independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage full lifecycle commercial construction projects from planning to completion
- Develop and control project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams across multiple states
- Oversee field operations, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with all regulations
- Manage project financials, including cost tracking, forecasting, and change orders
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Drive project execution to meet deadlines, budgets, and client expectations
- Lead project meetings and provide clear progress updates to stakeholders and leadership
- Identify risks proactively and implement solutions to avoid delays or cost overruns
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and closeout processes
- Mentor and support Assistant PMs and field teams
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in commercial construction project management (REQUIRED)
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong background in tenant improvements, commercial interiors, retail, banking, or similar environments
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and subcontractors
- Experience with construction management software (Procore preferred)
- Solid understanding of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Experience working in multi-state operations
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or similar tools
- OSHA certification or strong safety knowledge
- Work Environment & Requirements
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed
- Combination of office and field work
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines
Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
