Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Utility Locator to efficiently utilize locating equipment for the designation of underground utilities. The ideal candidate will accurately identify utility types such as water, gas, and power, and interpret utility depth information as reported by the equipment. Your role will involve the precise marking and/or flagging of designated utilities, along with their estimated depths on the ground surface. It is crucial that these markings are thorough, legible, and comprehensive for the surveying team. Proper storage and care of equipment will also be a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently utilize locating equipment to designate underground utilities.
• Accurately identify and mark utility types, including water, gas, and power.
• Interpret utility depth information reported by the equipment.
• Ensure markings are thorough, legible, and comprehensive for the surveying team.
• Properly store and maintain the locating equipment.

Essential Skills

• Experience in utility locating and subsurface utility engineering.
• Ability to work with underground utilities.
• Possession of a valid US Driver's License.
• Authorization to work in the US.
• Physical capability to walk 3-5 miles a day while carrying heavy equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
