Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing essential support in a clinical setting, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct follow-up appointments and patient updates through data entry.
• Answer inbound phone calls and respond to inquiries effectively.
• Order laboratory tests as required and relay lab results to patients.
• Schedule follow-up appointments for patients.
• Provide clinical support and patient care under the supervision of healthcare professionals.

Essential Skills

• 1 year of experience in medical assisting.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records, specifically Athena EMR.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage appointments and handle patient care efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Medical Assisting diploma or certification preferred.
• High School Diploma is required.
• RMA certification is advantageous.
• Experience with front desk operations, insurance, and BLS certification is a plus.

Work Environment

The position requires working onsite at a clinic, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. The work environment is supportive and collaborative, with a focus on professional growth. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Orlando,FL.
